Against Man-Made
Laws And
Traditions
Against The
Traditions Of The Elders
Now when the Pharisees
gathered together to him, with some of the scribes, who had come from
Jerusalem, they saw that some of his
disciples ate with hands defiled, that is, unwashed. (For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, do not eat unless they wash their
hands, observing the tradition of the elders; and when they come from the market place, they do not eat unless they
purify themselves; and there are many other traditions which they observe, the
washing of cups and pots and vessels of bronze.) And the Pharisees and the scribes asked him, “Why do your disciples not
live according to the tradition of the elders, but eat with hands defiled?”
And He said to them, “Well did Isaiah
prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written,
‘This people honors me
with their lips,
but their heart is far from me;
in vain do they
worship me,
teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.’
You leave the commandment of God, and hold
fast the tradition of men.”
And He said to them, “You have a fine way of
rejecting the commandment of God, in order to keep your tradition! For Moses said, ‘Honour
your father and your mother’; and, ‘He who speaks evil of father or mother, let
him surely die’; but you say, ‘If a
man tells his father or his mother, What you would have gained from me is
Corban’ (that is, given to God)— then you no longer permit him to do anything
for his father or mother, thus making
void the word of God through your tradition which you hand on. And many such
things you do.”
And He called the people to him again, and
said to them, “Hear me, all of you, and understand: there is nothing outside a man which by going into him can defile him;
but the things which come out of a man are what defile him.” And when He had
entered the house, and left the people, his disciples asked him about the
parable. And He said to them, “Then
are you also without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into a
man from outside cannot defile him, since it enters, not his heart but his
stomach, and so passes on?” (Thus He declared all foods clean.) And He said, “What comes out of a man is
what defiles a man. For from within,
out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, fornication, theft, murder,
adultery, coveting, wickedness,
deceit, licentiousness, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and
they defile a man.” Mark 7:1-23
And He said to them, “Then are you also without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into a man from outside cannot defile him, since it enters, not his heart but his stomach, and so passes on?” (Thus He declared all foods clean.)
Do not allow vulgar words to come out of your mouth.
By so doing, you keep your heart pure.
By so doing, you keep your heart and mind free form evil.
Do not spend your time listening to bad news or nonsense stories. If you do
so, you will be hearing all kinds of evil narrations, which evil narratives
pollute and darken the spirit, heart and mind.
Divine Law Is
Supreme
The major problem with the religions and churches is that they are everyday
busy teaching and practising man-made laws and
doctrines in place of the eternal Truth.
Meaning Of Man-Made Routines
Man-made laws and doctrines are the rigid laws, false
beliefs and wrong practices introduced by humanity into the worship of God.
They are called routines because people are doing them every day, and from time
to time. They have become people’s habit. The laws and doctrines are man-made,
because they are decisions made (forged) at meetings, councils, synods and
conferences without consulting God. The decisions are usually made by religious
leaders or ancestors, by your fellow human beings, and then handed down to
subsequent generations as if the decisions were God’s commandment. People
follow these laws and doctrines without knowing that they are being deceived.
And there are so many of these type of misleading teachings and practices,
especially in the Catholic Church and Pentecostals, even so in Islam and
others.
How To Know The Man-Made Routines
Check through the holy book. Whenever Jesus mentions the Pharisees and Scribes,
he means wrong practices and those who teach them. In the world today, the
Pharisees and Scribes refer to the religious leaders, especially those of them
who are spiritually dead, unenlightened and inexperienced. And they are
numerous, able to speak loud and clear, always bold. But, their teachings are
misleading people, signifying nothing and benefiting none. Whoever follows all
these blind and ignorant religious leaders have nothing to gain from them
except confusion, lies and fabrications.
Some examples are:
1. Rosary.
2. Novenas.
3. Litanies.
4. Marian
associations like Legion of Mary, Mary League, etc.
5. Christmas,
which was started after 1038 years after the death of Jesus.
6. Baptism by
sprinkling.
7. Confession.
8. Carrying
corpses into the churches.
9. Pagan
titles like Ozo uka.
10.
Pagan festivals like Ilo Muo, Iwa ji,
etc.
11.
Wearing shoes, sandals, slippers and socks into the
churches and holy places.
12.
Wearing of medals and sacramental.
13.
Forged ten commandments, as
being taught by churches in their catechism and Sunday schools.
14.
Etc, etc, etc, etc,
etc, etc, etc.
